Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

What You'll Be Working On

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, build, and operate the Sibyl Compute and Quantum Storage platforms — the cloud infrastructure services used by hundreds of enterprise clients to run their most critical workloads.

You will work at the intersection of infrastructure engineering and product development. The Sibyl Compute team builds the APIs, control planes, and automation that let enterprise clients provision, scale, and monitor their compute resources. This is not just infrastructure ops — it is platform engineering with a product mindset.

We run Kubernetes at large scale across multiple availability zones. Our automation tooling uses Terraform, Ansible, and custom Go-based controllers. What You'll Do

• Design and operate Sibyl Compute infrastructure — virtual machine hypervisors, auto-scaling systems, and bare-metal provisioning
• Build and maintain Quantum Storage cluster management — erasure coding, replication, and lifecycle policy automation
• Write Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks for repeatable, tested infrastructure deployments
• Implement and maintain observability — Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alert routing, and runbooks
• Participate in capacity planning — forecast infrastructure demand and provision ahead of growth
• Respond to infrastructure incidents, conduct blameless post-mortems, and drive systemic improvements
• Build automation tooling in Go or Python that reduces operational toil and improves reliability

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering
• Deep practical experience with Kubernetes — cluster administration, networking, RBAC, operators
• Infrastructure-as-code proficiency with Terraform — modules, state management, workspaces
• Experience with Linux system administration — networking, storage, performance tuning
• Solid understanding of distributed storage systems — replication, consistency models, failure modes
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks — Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or equivalents
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling

Nice to Have

• Experience building control planes or operators using the Kubernetes Operator pattern
• Understanding of hypervisor technology — KVM, QEMU, or equivalents
• Experience with Ceph or other distributed storage systems
• Certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or HashiCorp Terraform Associate
